Lighting in Other Places - Homecoming
I absolutely fell in love with the way these clouds were lit. The light from the lowering sun just caught the side of the clouds and just sort of shone through the whole cloud structure (Not sure if that's visible in the picture.) The street was bright though the sun was low, demonstrating just how powerful side light like booms really are. The shadows in the cloud beyond the sunlight just gave the clouds a massive amount of depth, and gave me a "foreshadowing" vibe about on coming rain. It was nice to look up after a long drive to see such a beautifully lit cloud formation, and though it was threatening to rain, it gave such a nice feeling of coming after a long, hot day.

there's so much happening in this image! From the light reflecting off that foreboding cloud formation in the distance to the long streaming sunlight shadows moving horizontally across the page to the bright side light bouncing off the buildings to even the tiny red street light in the center! What a fabulously interesting photo of an every day normal scene. Great commentary!
