Lighting in Other Places - Halloween
I absolutely love Jack-O-lanterns. They're not common where I grew up to they're so much fun when you finally get a chance to make you're own. They're also like having a custom made gobo. Depending on what kind and how many lights you put in them, they can be a creepy red to an eerie amber. They really add to the emotion of such a fun holiday, and on dark streets like where mine was placed, they have such a cool effect on the streets, on the buildings, and resonate more with the people who pass them by. It's interesting with how much we can connect with such a simple light source, but they can make all the difference on a dark and creepy night like Halloween.

Talk about a lighting "prop" or effect that has grown so iconic to us in the states! Such a warm, spirited embodiment of childhood! :) There's also quite a lot of depth in that pumpkin, with different parts of the pumpkin showing up as different colors! Great commentary!
