Lighting in Other Places - Colour
I really wanted to experiment with colour this time around, so I picked these trees during a sunset. Half the tree is in shadow and the other in direct sunlight. What I think is incredible is that the dark green tree in the bottom right of the picture is the same tree as the light green one above it. A lot of people tend not to think about how light changes the colour of the subject (A costume per say) and we're surprised when the subject looks different when lit. It took me a little while to notice that the different looking coloured trees were actually the same, and only by looking closer did I notice just how large an impact the lights had on it.

Color is always the most surprising element when it comes to lighting and design. :) My 50C class was completely blown away by how different the color looks when shining the light on the wall vs. when a person walks through it. It can be the most fun and the most challenging element!
